President's Message

I would like to thank you for the opportunity to serve as President the past year. I also would like to express my gratitude to all of our Board members for the time and effort that they dedicate to the LBA.

I appreciate the contributions of the LBA to our profession and our community, be it through legal and community advocacy, student outreach, and local service organizations. 

I would also like to thank all of you for welcoming me into this legal community. When my husband and I moved to Polk County in 2002, the prospect of getting to know a new area was a daunting challenge. As a result of my involvement with the LBA, I have met many talented and dedicated attorneys, who excel in their professions and greatly contribute to our area.

At our next luncheon on May 7th, we will be hosting several judges of the District Court of Appeal. As we reflect on Law Day, the judges will be available to share with us their perspectives on current topics.  Please join us on May 7th, the last scheduled luncheon for the year (luncheons resume in September).
